European Commission
The European Commission’s Digital Transformation project aims to transform the multitude of websites that are hosted on her domains into a single, user-centric platform using Gerry McGovern’s top task methodology for the navigation structure, as well as a task-oriented content strategy and mobile-first, component-based approach to design.
As part of a small and agile scrum team, I am involved in the User Experience and User Interface design of the new platform, and responsible for creating a front-end prototype for testing and demonstration puproses.

ledwork interactive lighting
ledwork are modular, intelligent and autonomous design lamps that can connect and talk to other ledwork. They invite to be picked up and played with, and offer a responsive, tangible interface to the abstract concept of light.
Responsible for the design, from concept to production, including hardware and electronics engineering. Introduced ledwork to the world at the bi-annual Salone del Mobile of 2014 in Milan, Italy.

About me
Music enthusiast, visual arts and design fanatic, fencer, violinist, board game geek, bleeding edge technology obsessed & allround applicable nerd.
I firmly believe that in order to create excellent products, as a designer it is important to be involved and involve stakeholders at every step of the process. From concept to high-level architecture and from detail design to production. In any effort to create a user-friendly solution, whether we are talking about a digital or a physical product, it is essential for a designer to have a solid knowledge of the various technical aspects of a product development cycle.
I am personally most excited by the tangent plane between form and technology, and love to create prototypes for solutions that extend this plane in new directions. In order to do this I feel it is important not to label myself as UX designer, engineer, stylist or product designer, as excellence in a product can only be achieved by the excellent integration of these aspects. My best work are projects that come from a collaboration of intelligent and motivated people.
Standards, accessibility & usability are core parts of every good design. I strive to create solutions that remain relevant because of their functional simplicity.
